Charmose ed eleganti le maison liegesi hanno carattere ed uno spirito eclettico. Contaminazioni parigine e interpretazioni raffinate della casa a schiera, il modello liegese sposa una tendenza dell’abitare senza retorica ma di stile. Boiserie e caminetti fanno da cornice ad un arredo tutto vintage dai toni a volte austeri quelli dei palazzi del centro e cioè della valle. Sinuose e misteriose le case adagiate sulle spalle verdi di Liegi si affacciano timide ma nascondono un universo di piccoli ed eleganti giardini. Il mio hobby era quello di immaginare cosa il volto sempre diverso di ogni casa nascondesse. Piccoli spazi giorno con serre vetrate e completamente aperte verso angoli verdi tutti chiusi nella timidezza della luce nord europea. A volte si ergono alberi secolari strappati al lungofiume. Altre volte il giardino è il bosco dietro casa dove si raccolgono castagne ad Ottobre.  Tutto questo è solo una piccola e infinitesima parte del mio reportage su una delle città che forse amerò sempre.

A city like home. Liege.
The charming and elegant houses of Liege have an eclectic spirit and nature. Parisian contamination and refined interpretations of the townhouse, the Liege model goes well with a trend of living style but without rhetoric.
Boiserie and fireplaces are the setting for a vintage furniture with austere tones like those of the buildings in the center and of the valley. Sinuous and mysterious houses lying on the green shoulders of Liege appear timid but they hide a universe of small and elegant gardens. My hobby was to imagine what the ever-changing face of every house concealed. Small living spaces with glazed greenhouses and fully open towards green spots all closed in the shyness of the light of the north Europe. Sometimes ripped trees rise from the riverfront. Other times, the garden is the woods behind the house where chestnuts are picked up in October. This is just a small, infinitesimal part of my report on one of the cities that maybe I will always love.
